Our residential programs offer many types of applications to cover specific needs. The categories of programs are listed on the left.
TruNatural
Our 100% natural professional lawn treatment program is a responsible way to grow grass that’s healthy and truly green. Features of our TruNatural program include:
- Free Lawn Analysis - Before you decide to become one of our customers, we give you the choice to receive a free lawn or landscape analysis. Once you have entered a request, you will receive a visit from one of our Lawn Specialists within 3-5 business days.
- Fertilization - Fertilizers are concentrated nutrients designed to help grass to grow and stay healthy. TruGreen offers programs to apply the right fertilizer at the right time of year. Common ingredients in fertilizers include nitrogen, potassium and micro-nutrients.
- Lawn Quality Audit - Your Lawn Quality Audit is part of our full service lawn care program. We will walk your lawn and evaluate your turf and landscape. We will leave an analysis and recommendations as needed. As always, we recognize how much your lawn means to you and take pride in helping your get the best from your lawn.
- Unlimited Service Calls
If you have concerns or questions about an application to your lawn, or need an analysis of a condition which has occurred since our last visit, you may request a visit by a TruGreen Specialist. Call your local branch to assist you.
TruPerformance
The TruGreen® TruPerformance program consists of six specifically designed and seasonally scheduled service visits. Your Lawn Care Specialist is trained to recognize and treat a variety of disease, insect and weed problems and recommend proper maintenance practices to help your lawn derive the most benefit from our scheduled lawn care applications. Your six scheduled applications for the year may include the following:
- Balanced fertilizer to promote new growth and help thicken the turf
- Herbicide to control broadleaf weeds
- Pre-emergent to help control germination of crabgrass and other annual grassy weeds

Tree & Shrub Care Program
At TruGreen, we believe trees and shrubs are an important part of your ability to enjoy your lawn. We work to secure your complete landscape environment with stronger, healthier, more beautiful trees and shrubs that you'll appreciate for years to come.
With our tree and shrub services, you'll benefit from a program specifically designed to enhance and protect your landscape. Scheduled feeding of landscape ornamental trees and shrubs is imperative for the health and continuity of this vegetation. We combine fertilization with insect and disease control measures customized to each region to keep your trees and shrubs thriving. Our trained specialists will always deliver a landscape you can be proud of. You can count on it.
Service includes customized programs developed by a trained specialist including annual coverage, free service calls, regular inspection, and the TruGreen guarantee.
Our Tree and Shrub Program provides:
- Proper nutrition to enhance color, improve leaf size, stimulate overall growth, and increase flowering potential
- Insect and disease control to stop infestations and restore plant health and vigor
- Target treatments to deal with specific threats to your plants
- Careful pruning to restore your plants to their natural form and size
- Selected services including a special application of horticultural oil to help your plants survive winter with minimum damage

Flea & Tick Control
As you probably know all too well, summer is peak season for annoying fleas and ticks. If there's an infestation in your lawn, your family pets may be at risk of itchy bites or even disease. And oftentimes, they act as unknowing carriers, bringing outside pests inside your home.
We recommend a 5 visit program for the best control of fleas and ticks. We will apply an insect control product every 30 days to give you the best chance to control fleas and ticks.
Perimeter Pest Control
If you are having nuisance pests such as spiders or earwigs entering your home? TruGreen can help you. We apply an insect control product 3 feet up and 3 feet away from the perimeter of your home.
Emerald Ash Borer Program
The Emerald Ash Borer has been devastating Ash Trees throughout Northwest Ohio and surrounding states. TruGreen has a program to help protect your valuable and beautiful Ash Trees. This program features a state-of the-art Insect Control Product called Tree-Age®. This product is injected into the tree using the ArborJet® delivery system. This will help protect the internal parts of the tree. The program also consists of spring and fall fertilization to help the overall health of the trees and trunk and foliar sprays over the summer to control the adult activity. This is the most effective control program available.

A Tree Story: Two healthy ash trees were threatened by emerald ash borer. Tree A was left untreated and died. Tree B was treated with the Arborjet system and continues to thrive. Once a beautiful component of the landscape, Tree A is now an expensive removal.
